The body of a toddler was found under a bridge in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg, on Saturday, Gauteng police said.
The girl, believed to be aged between three and four, was discovered under a bridge in Mnandi by a passerby on Saturday evening around 6pm, Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said.
The bridge was about 20 kilometres away from the residential area.
Mogale said police were searching for the child's parents as no case of a missing child had been opened at the Dieplsoot police station. - Sapa
