Two Eastern Cape men were arrested in connection with murder in Grahamstown on Monday, police said.

Captain Mali Govender said the two, aged 26 and 32, were taken into custody in the early hours of Monday following the murder of a 30-year-old man.

It was believed the two lured the victim outside, wanting to talk to him. A fight broke out and the man was beaten to death.

“The man's girlfriend got worried when he did not return, and found his body in the yard,” Govender said.

They were expected to appear in court soon. – Sapa
