Queenstown - Two men were arrested on Thursday for the murder of a Queenstown man, said Eastern Cape police.

They were found hiding in a forest in Ilinge and blood stained clothes were found in their homes, said Lieutenant Pumzile Makaula.

The man's body was found by his colleagues on Tuesday morning.

Makaula said both murder accused had previously been implicated in other crimes.

“One of them is out on parole. He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment for a murder he committed in Ilinge in 2008,” she said.

“The other suspect has a case of housebreaking and theft that is pending.”

The men, both aged 26, would appear in the Queenstown Magistrate's Court on Monday on murder charges. - Sapa
