Cape Town - The sister of slain teenager Lekita Moore said the man convicted of her sister's murder has also threatened to kill her.

Cameron Wilson was last month handed down a guilty verdict on 13 charges by the Cape Town High Court.

This follows his arrest in September 2016 in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Moore in Valhalla Park while he was out on bail for the murder of Stacey Lee Mohale in April 2015.

He faced 15 charges including five counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and rape, one count of the possession of an illegal firearm and one count of the possession of illegal ammunition.

During the trial, Wilson could not stop smirking and could even be seen laughing at times.

Speaking to the Daily Voice following Wilson's conviction, Moore's sister Marcia said the convicted murderer had warned her that he would kill her too.

Marcia also expressed relief that Wilson was convicted for the brutal incident.

Wilson abducted Lekita after they both attended a karaoke event in Valhalla Park on September 10 last year.

The teen’s naked and mutilated body was found on a field the next morning.

Her face was slashed, she had been stabbed 98 times and her nipples and part of her vagina had been cut away.
