Kimberley - A manhunt is currently underway after five armed suspects robbed a farm near Kimberley.

The attackers tied up the owner, his teenage daughter and mother-in-law, at approximately 8am on Thursday morning.

It is alleged that the five armed robbers, one of whom is believed to have been carrying a shotgun, entered the property, approximately 10km from Kimberley, in the direction of Ritchie on the N12, tied up the family and demanded to know where they kept their firearms and other valuables, before fleeing the scene in the farmer’s wife’s Mercedes Benz.

The luxury vehicle was later found abandoned along the N12 by a police helicopter that had been deployed to track a Toyota Land Cruiser that was stolen from Mokala National Park on Wednesday night.
