Johannesburg - A woman and three people accused of killing her husband will appear in the Phokeng Magistrate's Court on Friday, North West police said.

Police arrested them after a 35-year-old man was shot dead on Wednesday, Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said.

“It is alleged that the wife heard two gunshots (and) a few minutes later the suspects fled the scene. The three suspects, aged between 26 and 44, were arrested on the same night,” he said.

“The suspects allegedly admitted that they were dealing in precious metal (platinum) with the deceased when they had a misunderstanding.”

Molale said they implicated the woman in the killing, and she was questioned and arrested on Thursday.

They face charges of murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and unlawful possession of precious metals (platinum).
