CAPE TOWN- Ministers in the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) briefed the media on Monday following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address to the nation on Government's further plans to combat the spread of Covid-19 in South Africa.
Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma reiterated that it is mandatory for all to wear a face mask in a public space. "It must be a collective responsibility to ensure that everyone wears a mask."
Addressing the reintroduction of the alcohol ban, Dlamini-Zuma said when people drink in groups they can let their guard down, not adhere to social distancing and discard their mask which could lead to the further spread of the virus.
