Johannesburg - The eighth man arrested in connection with the gang-rape of a Soweto teenager is expected to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Friday, the National Prosecuting Authority said.

He was allegedly holding the 17-year-old against her will at his house in Braamfischerville when she was found on Wednesday. The girl had gone missing on March 21.

On Thursday, five men and two youths matching the descriptions of the suspects seen in a cellphone video of the attack appeared in court. They were arrested in Dobsonville on Tuesday.

The case was postponed until April 25 for further investigation. - Sapa
