The teenaged belly dancer who Silvio Berlusconi is accused of sleeping with while she was under-age has cashed in on the scandal by appearing in an Italian TV advert. Karima El Mahroug strips to her underwear in a commercial for The Female Labyrith, a book by a former MEP. In the advertisement, the dancer, whose stage name is Ruby the Heart Stealer, attacks the 'regime' and claims Italian society has been 'stripped bare' by the government. She initially appears in a red dress but a man dressed as the Phantom of the Opera emerges and rips it off, leaving her in nothing but her black underwear, to emphasise the message of the ad, according to Daily Mail.

It is alleged that Mr Berlusconi paid Miss El Mahroug for sex when she was 17 and used his influence to secure her release when she was arrested, charges that the Italian Prime Minister is to stand trial for.
