Cape Town - After eating sushi off half-naked models, this move hardly comes as a surprise.
Controversial businessman Kenny Kunene’s ZAR nightclub empire is reportedly branching out into the pornographic industry.
Kenny’s business partner and ex-con-turned-businessman Gayton McKenzie revealed: “The whole ZAR brand is changing, we’re coming out with things that people are gonna go: ‘Oh my God!’”
The porn side of the business, which will be launched this month, will be run by Kunene, who could be South Africa’s version of Playboy owner Hugh Hefner.
“That’s 100 percent Kenny,” McKenzie added.
So don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse of porn stars such as SA’s own Palesa Mbau, or even overseas porn actresses like Jenna Jameson at ZAR in Somerset Road, Green Point.
ZAR has not released any details about their titillating plans, which could be a porn website, magazine or TV channel.
An employee at ZAR says Kunene has been jetting around Europe tying up business deals.
His ZAR empire already includes the popular nightclubs and a public relations business.
Although McKenzie would not share any more details about the porn venture, which is due to be launched by the end of March, all he would tell reporters is that it’s “100 percent Kenny’s idea”.
