Man removed from plane after trying to charge phone in cockpit in India

New Delhi - A passenger who tried to enter the cockpit of an

IndiGo Airlines aircraft in India's Mumbai airport to charge his

mobile phone was offloaded.

The incident took place as Mumbai-Kolkata flight 6E-395 was preparing

to take off, the airline said in a statement on Wednesday.

"While an IndiGo aircraft was on the ground an unruly passenger tried

to enter the cockpit, stating that his mobile needs to be charged,"

the statement said.

The captain offloaded him on charges of security violation according

to standard operating procedures.

The man was handed over to the airport police who later released him,

NDTV news channel reported.
