Pretoria - The DA wants to eat into the ANC’s national vote. The ANC wants to take a bite out of the DA’s majority in the Western Cape. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) want to gobble up unhappy ANC voters, while AgangSA would be happy to tuck into everyone.

Now Capetonians can help – by buying and savouring chocolate busts of EFF supremo Julius Malema (with beret), President Jacob Zuma, Agang head Mamphela Ramphele and DA leader Helen Zille.

The busts, each about the size of a chess piece, will be on sale at Honest Chocolate branches in Cape Town’s city centre and in Woodstock.

The mini heads are 72 percent chocolate, made from unroasted organic cacao beans and further sweetened with agave nectar.

Michael de Klerk, of Honest Chocolate, said the life-like busts were a “light-hearted” take on the general elections.

A single bust costs R70, and a set of four R280.

Quantities will be limited.

Customers have already begun to tweet their views using #votechocolate.

“#votechocolate. The kind of elections I can be behind,” wrote user Mark Griffioen. - Pretoria News Weekend
