Cape Town - A man accused of kidnapping, robbing and raping women outside the GF Jooste Hospital in Cape Town appeared in the Western Cape High Court on Friday.
He would return to court on March 14 for another pre-trial conference.
A summary of substantial facts stated that he used to wait for a lift outside the hospital in Manenberg between 2012 and last year.
He is accused of crimes against six women.
On the morning of May 22, 2012, a woman was walking to the hospital when the man allegedly told her there was a shorter route.
He allegedly threatened to stab her and took her cellphone and money.
She was forced to undress herself, after which she was raped.
On August 7 the same year, a woman who was five months pregnant, was on her way to the hospital when the man allegedly forced her to a nearby field with a knife.
He is accused of raping her and taking her cellphone and money.
A week later, a woman who was three months pregnant went through the same ordeal.
In September 2012, a nursing student at the hospital was accosted at knifepoint and robbed of her phone and money.
The man allegedly assaulted her with his fists before fleeing the scene.
Two other women were threatened and robbed in a similar manner.
