The court case of a 73-year-old child pornographer has lifted the lid on how he lured and violated his young victims.
Johannes Kleinhans was found guilty of 95 charges relating to child pornography, sexual grooming and sexual assault.
In documents before court, he admits he groomed the girls by showing them various poses and sex toys.
At the time of the attacks, his victims were all 13 years old.
He claims he paid them with gifts and cash in exchange for the nude photo shoots.
Kleinhans befriended one of the girls in 2009 while he was renting a house in Bellville.
Kleinhans told the court the girl and a friend of hers often joined him at the gym where they exercised together.
He also supported her family and paid for her schooling.
Kleinhans also admits to touching her naked breasts and said he offered her a “compliment”.
He revealed details of a second photo shoot with a different teen girl who often visited him alone at his Parow workplace.
Kleinhans said he paid for this girl’s studies as well, took care of her family, bought her cellphones, clothes, food and even paid for birthday parties.
He also admits touching her vagina when he helped her remove a tampon after taking naked photos of her.
Kleinhans approached his third victim through one of the other girls.
He admits to showing her pornographic material, including videos, and sex toys with the intention of getting her to perform sexual acts for the camera.
