Hunt for Bozwana's alleged killer hots up
Johannesburg – The Hawks have made a major breakthrough, and are now searching for the alleged killer of North West businessman Wandile Bozwana.
Forensic investigations conducted since the October 2015 death identified Senco Mncube, 35, pictured, as allegedly being the trigger man in the murder of Bozwana, who was shot execution-style at a traffic light in Pretoria East.
Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said officers had been probing Mncube’s alleged involvement since last year, but could not establish if he was the man who pulled the trigger.
“It was through thorough forensic investigations that we could manage to ascertain that Mncube is the alleged trigger man behind the murder of Bozwana,” he said.
A warrant of arrest has been issued against Mncube, who is from KwaZulu-Natal.
Bozwana died in Unitas Hospital after he was shot at an intersection in Garsfontein, Pretoria, in October 2015. His female companion, Mpho Baloyi, survived.
