Johannesburg - The murder accused girlfriend of Hip Hop artist Nkululeko "Flabba" Habedi on Wednesday, continued to tell the High Court sitting in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court how she was manhandled minutes before she stabbed her lover.

Sindisiwe Manqele, who stands accused of murdering Habedi, said following a night of quarrelling she locking herself in the bedroom of his Alexandra house and she heard someone tampering with the door handle. She said she got up, turned on the light, headed to the door and opened the door.

When asked by her lawyer Norman Makhubela why she opened the door, Manqele replied: “The deceased wouldn’t stop knocking so I just decided to open so that we can get this over with.”

Manqele said as she unlocked the door and Habedi pushed the door with forced and she fell on the floor onto her bum. She said when the musician went into the room and he had a knife with him.

“He closed the door behind him and locked it,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she got up immediately and Habedi walked towards the bed.

Manqele demonstrated how she sat on the bed with her back against the headboard of the bed and her knees towards her chest.

“I went to the bed and just sat there and I wanted him to talk,” Manqele said.

Manqele stated that she had told herself that she wasn’t going to say anything to him and wanted him to talk then she would sleep.

Makhubela asked Manqele what Habedi did while she was on the bed.

“He was pacing in the room, speaking,” she said.

Manqele said the first thing Habedi said was: “You don’t lock me out my f**ken room.”

Manqele said she responded saying: “Yea, whatever.”

Manqele said Habedi continued to talk about how he was disrespected.

“He said what made me think I can disrespect him like that, is it because I think I’m too pretty, or is it because of the situation he’s in now?” Manqele said.

Manqele said that she was ignoring him at that time.

Acting Judge Solly Sithole told Manqele that Habedi did not have the knife in his hand while doing the hand gestures.

Makhubela argued with Sithole before asking Manqele where the knife was.

“The knife was in his hand,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi said she was a “bitch” and she wanted to look for men.

“I yelled back at him and told him that he was crazy, he can’t call me a bitch for saying thank you to someone who was paying me a compliment,” Manqele said.

Manqele said they were both sitting on the bed facing each other.

“We were shouting about many things, I was telling him that he was crazy,” she recalled.

Manqele said Habedi told her that she thought she was too good for him.

“He said girls like me don’t date guys like him,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she was shouting back at him, saying that she had been dating him since she was 17.

“He grabbed me by the jaw and the knife was on his left hand side,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi said she was beautiful while holding her in the tight grip.

“I said to told him leave my f***en face you are hurting me, what’s wrong with you,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi then spat on her face and arm locked her while yelling in her ear.

“I was telling him that he was mentally unstable and he’s never been like that to me,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she was trying to get the hand that was around her neck away from her.

“The knife was in his left hand, the hand that was around my neck,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi then said she must get out of his f***n house.

“He then got up and put the knife on a table in the room,” Manqele said.

Manqele stated that Habedi headed for a couch that was in the room and she remained on the bed.

“He started shoving my clothes into the bag and saying I must f****n leave his house,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she told Habedi that if she left at that moment, she was never coming back.

“I grabbed my other bag and started packing my stuff,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi grabbed her and threw her on the bed.

“He asked where do I think I’m going,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she said told him that she wanted to go home but he didn’t let her go home.

She recounted how she told him that they were in Alexandra and I did not know how she would go home but still wanted to leave.

Manqele said Habedi said he didn’t care how she got home because she was a b***h.

“I said I don’t know what the f**k has gotten over you,” Manqele said.

Manqele said she was pushed back onto the bed and Habedi brought up the Cape Town trip, she had taken earlier.

“He said what were you actually doing in Cape Town, and I told him it had nothing to do with him,” Manqele said.

Manqele said Habedi said she was going to prostitute in Cape Town.

“I told him that if he thought I went b***ing then it’s fine,” Manqele said.

On Tuesday, Manqele detailed in court how she and Habedi had fought over money just hours before he died

She told the court that Habedi had told her she was trying to fish for men and called her a gold digger.

Habedi, a member of hip-hop group Skwatta Kamp, was stabbed to death at his home in Alexandra in March. The popular musician was knifed in the chest.
