Johannesburg - Expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema's properties will go under the hammer on Friday, reported The New Age on Thursday.
SA Revenue Service spokesman Adrian Lackay said a farm and a string of movable and immovable assets belonging to Malema had been attached.
“Yes, action has been taken against Malema because he owes R16.1 million to SARS. I cannot disclose the value of his assets to be auctioned but I can confirm that they include his farm.
“We got a court order and we are now interested in auctioning the properties to recover the revenues owed,” said Lackay.
Lawyers from Brian Kahn Attorneys said on Wednesday they were no longer representing Malema.
