Man held for wife’s stabbing death

King William’s Town - A man was arrested in King William's Town on Thursday following the murder of his wife, Eastern Cape police said.

The 44-year-old was caught in Buffalo Street after police received a tip-off, Lieutenant Siphokazi Mawisa said.

He allegedly stabbed his 37-year-old wife to death in their home in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth, on Tuesday, and fled to King William's Town.

He was expected to appear in the Motherwell Magistrate's Court on Monday.
