Pretoria - Former president Nelson Mandela's granddaughter Ndileka Mandela visited him at the Mediclinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria on Tuesday.
She arrived at the hospital just before noon and stayed just over an hour before leaving shortly after 1pm.
In the morning, a travelling Indonesian gospel choir arrived by bus to sing a few hymns for Madiba, before praying for his well-being and recovery.
Mandela was spending his 60th day in hospital, with only a few local and foreign reporters remaining outside the hospital.
Some people posed for pictures at a hospital wall adorned with goodwill wishes, while others read the hundreds of messages of support written to Madiba on cards, placards, banners, and posters at the hospital's entrance.
Police officers continued to check all vehicles entering the facility at its two entrances.
Mandela was admitted with a recurring lung infection on June 8.
The presidency said last week the former statesman was in a critical but stable condition. President Jacob Zuma reiterated his call for the nation to continue praying for Mandela.
