Durban - Police are still hunting for the killers of Richmond municipal manager Sibusiso Sithole, whose funeral was attended by thousands of mourners on Saturday.
Sithole, who was due to start a new job at the Umngeni Municipality next week, was gunned down last week.
Praising Sithole as “immensely talented,” ANC provincial chairman, Sihle Zikalala, said at the funeral that his murder had had the same devastating impact as the assassination of Burkina Faso president Thomas Sankara.
Police Minister Nathi Nhleko, who had visited Sithole’s family earlier in the week, said the SAPS would do everything possible to capture the culprits.
