Hebron - Motorists in Hebron near the City of Tshwane battled to move around in the township on Friday as roads were barricaded with burning tyres, stones and tree branches.
Residents told motorists to turn back along Erasmus Road as protest action continued.
They were protesting about the lack of feedback from the Madibeng local municipality following their march to the council offices about two weeks ago to demand the removal of their local councillor and to have roads in the area fixed.
A resident who asked not to be named told Sapa that residents would only stop protesting on Wednesday when the local mayor gave feedback.
“The mayor promised to respond by Wednesday so we will continue until then,” he said.
