Johannesburg - The Seriti Commission of Inquiry into the 1999 arms deal was adjourned on Monday, a spokesman said.

The testimony of Admiral Anthony Howell was completed on one day, Monday, and would not proceed on Tuesday as originally planned, spokesman William Baloyi said in a statement.

The hearings would continue on Thursday.

The commission, sitting in Pretoria and headed by Judge Willie Seriti, is investigating allegations of corruption in the multi-billion rand 1999 arms deal.
