Cape Town - The Democratic Alliance said on Friday that it would protest outside the Western Cape provincial legislature on Friday to demand that Marius Fransman resign as the leader of the opposition in the province.
The DA said Fransman “remains engulfed in a sex scandal”.
Last week Fransman’s personal assistant laid a complaint of sexual harassment with the police against him.
The pair had been travelling together to the North West province to attend the ANC’s 104th birthday celebrations when the alleged incident took place.
The DA said it would hand over a memorandum of grievances against Fransman to presiding officers at the legislature.
