Johannesburg - SABC board deputy chairperson Febe Potgieter-Gqubule has resigned from the board to take up a position as ANC elections manager.
The SABC board confirmed that it had recived her resignation letter on Thursday.
Potgieter-Gqubule had said last year during interviews for SABC board appointments that she would resign from the board if she was appointed in any official capacity that would be in conflict with her duties at the public broadcaster.

Potgieter-Gqubule's departure has left the board with three vacancies, following the sudden resignation of Rachel Kalidass last year.
The SABC said it would notify Parliament of the urgency to fill the vacant posts.
