Johannesburg - A Facebook user identified as Tanya Smit sparked outrage on social media on Thursday after she posted racist remarks on the municipal elections results.
On her Facebook status that was screengrabbed and shared mostly on Twitter, she wrote: “Wow the DA takes Groblersdal and Marble Hall. The blacks sal nou kak wees. (the black will be sh*t).
“No more Nsfas (National Student Financial Aid Scheme), no more clueless uneducated blacks in government, no more Sassa (South African Social Security Agency) cards f**ol. For 22 years you’ve destroyed our country, it’s payback time now. Hulle sal k*k. (They’re going to sh*t). Change is starting to happen.”
This sparked a storm of outrage, with social media users branding Smit a racist.
