British American Tobacco (BAT) has been hit by two robberies in one week.
In the latest incident, a BAT delivery truck was robbed of R220 000 worth of entjies on Friday in Rylands.
Six skelms attacked the driver and his assistant before fleeing.
SAPS’ Joseph Swartbooi says: “Suspects took cigarettes to the value of R220 000.
“We can confirm that no shot was fired and no one sustained injuries.
“The suspects are unknown and yet to be arrested.”
Last Wednesday, two men robbed BAT employees of R1m worth of entjies in Heideveld.
They held the delivery men and the shop owner at gunpoint and loaded the cigarettes in two cars and fled.
