Pretoria - Ntokozo Radebe is without a doubt the man who last year abducted three children in Diepsloot before brutally raping and strangling them to death.

Judge Nico Coetzee of the Gauteng Provincial Division of the High Court sitting in Pretoria on Tuesday morning convicted the 29-year-old Diepsloot man on 12 charges, including three of murder.

Judge said all evidence overwhelmingly point at him being abductor, rapist and killer.

Radebe had offered a blanket denial and said he was not the person who killed Anelisa Mkhonto, 5, Zandile Mali, 3 and her cousin Yonelisa, 2.

Anelisa went missing in September last year. Her body was found several days later next to a dumping site.

The Mali cousins went missing about a month later and their bodies were found several days later in a public toilet.

The killings caused outraged in the Diepsloot community.

Radebe was linked to the rape and killings via DNA evidence taken from the children.

Both Anelisa and Zandile’s blood was found in a suitcase in his shack and the blood of Yonelisa was found on a shoe in the room.

Radebe’s State appointed lawyer did not put up much of a fight on behalf of his client, other than to say that he denied he was responsible for the rapes and killings.

The accused has taken the stand to testify in mitigation of sentence.
