Residents spoiled on Women’s Day

TLC Outreach Projects held a Womens Day function at Table View police station.

TLC Outreach Projects celebrated National Women’s Day with the women of Happy Valley, Wolverivier and Olive Close.

It was held at the TLC offices at the Table View police station, and the women were treated to a gift, a blanket, manicures, make-up and games.

There was also a potjiekos competition.

Table View police station’s Captain Adriana Chandler spoke to the women about their rights, and the policewomen at the station received orchards and pot plants.

“Love is doing something for the well-being of the ones we love,” said TLC director Colleen Petersen. “Affirmation is a quality that needs to be applied daily ; acts of service should not be neglected; quality time places value on others; and, last but not least, a small token of love through a gift completes our love language towards others.”
