Johannesburg - Bullets flew during peak-hour traffic on Friday morning when a motorist and a motorcyclist shot at each other in an alleged road rage incident.
By the time everything was over, the motorcyclist lay dead with two gunshot wounds while the motorist was injured after being shot once.
Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said the motorist was “in a serious condition” but the motorcyclist had already died by the time the paramedics arrived at the scene.
The incident took place on the corner of Boundary Road and Malibongwe Drive in Northriding.
At about 10am, the 39-year-old biker’s mother sobbed in the back of a car at the intersection, three hours after he was shot.
