Christel House South Africa, the non-profit school that serves students from very poor areas on the Cape Flats, needs your help.
They are appealing to the public to support their #GiveaHandUp campaign, which raises funds for essential school supplies for their new Grade RR class.
The school will be adding the class to its Early Childhood Development offering for the first time in its 20-year history.
Construction of the three classes is complete and will accommodate 20 students per class, opening for enrolment in July 2021.
The laaities will need school shoes, uniforms, backpacks, learning materials and educational toys, as well as fortified porridge that contains essential nutrients for growing children, says CEO Adri Marais.

“This past year has been tough on everyone’s pockets and we understand that giving back is very difficult in times of financial stress.
“We are appealing to the public to donate any amount you can afford towards our #GiveaHand-Up campaign, so that our new Grade RR students can receive essential school supplies. Our little ones need your help to kickstart their 19-journey with us.”
Christel House SA offers free schooling for kids and supports them for 19 years (from Grade RR to Grade 12 and then five years post-matric) through character-based and career-focused education.
The school has 762 students and about 250 post-matric students.
They provide support to more than 3000 parents.
