Ganyesa – The North West MEC for Education and Sport Development Sello Lehari on Monday sent his condolences to the Sisimogang family after the death of six members of the family in a house fire.
The incident took place on May 24 in Ganyesa in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district and claimed the lives of school pupils Keamogetse,8, Boipelo,6, and Keikantsemang Sisimogang,8.
Keamogetse and Boipelo both attended Mochware Primary School, while Keikantsemang was a pupil at Seichokelo Primary School.
The children’s mother, Kediemetse Gloria, grandfather and an infant also perished as a result of the fire.
MEC Lehari said he was saddened to hear of the tragic loss of the pupils as well as their family members.
“I am deeply saddened by the incident that happened at Ganyesa, it’s such a devastating loss to lose so many souls at once it’s heartbreaking.
“Children are our treasure and as parents our wish for them is success, we encourage them to do well in school so that we could bear the fruits of their dedication and hard work at school.”
