Date set for Agliotti's murder trial

Glenn Agliotti's murder trial was moved to the Johannesburg High Court from the regional court, SABC news reported on Monday.

Agliotti stands accused of the murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble in Johannesburg's northern suburbs in September 2005.

The trial would be heard from July 27 to July 30, 2009. Agliotti's R500 000 bail was extended.

Earlier this year Agliotti pleaded guilty to separate charges of drug smuggling.

He received a suspended sentence for those offence in exchange for turning state witness against suspended National Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi, the SABC reported. - Sapa
