Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has wished all South Africans a happy Easter weekend, the presidency said on Friday.

“We wish everyone a blessed and safe Easter,” Zuma said in a statement.

“In prayers this weekend, let us also recommit to building a caring, united and prosperous South Africa.”

Zuma asked road users to be considerate on the roads this long weekend.

“I would like to appeal to all road users to obey all the rules of the road. Ending the carnage on our roads is the responsibility of every road user,” he said.
