Cape Town - An arrest has been made for the murder of Port Elizabeth teacher Jayde Panayiotou, HeraldLive has reported.
According to the report, police will hold a media briefing later on Thursday morning.
Panayiotou was abducted from outside her Kabega Park home in Port Elizabeth last Tuesday. Her body was found a day later in KwaNobuhle outside Uitenhage.
Preliminary reports confirmed that Panayiotou was shot.
It was previously reported that two men withdrew money from Panayiotou’s bank account.
Police established a special task team comprising members of the SAPS crime intelligence, detectives and forensic divisions to track down Panayiotou's killers.
The 28-year-old taught Grade 4 to Grade 7 at Riebeek College Girls' High School in Uitenhage.
