Cape Town - Jayde Panayiotou's husband is one of the suspects arrested for her death, according to reports.
Eyewitness News and HeraldLive say that has been confirmed that the 28-year-old man arrested on Wednesday night was Christopher Panayiotou.
He is due to appear in court on Monday.
Another suspect, Thando Siyoli, who was arrested earlier this week, appeared in court on Thursday morning.
Police said Siyoli was charged with abduction and murder.
Panayiotou, a teacher, was abducted from outside her Kabega Park home in Port Elizabeth last Tuesday. Her body was found a day later in KwaNobuhle outside Uitenhage.
Preliminary reports confirmed that Panayiotou was shot.
Earlier on Thursday, police said that robbery had been ruled out as a motive for the teacher’s murder.
