Port Elizabeth - A Port Elizabeth woman accused of being part of a syndicate that distributed images of babies being sexually exploited is expected to appear in the city’s magistrate’s court on Monday.
The 22-year-old woman, from Westering, is alleged to be part of an international child pornography ring that distributed footage of babies and newborns being sexually exploited.
An investigating team in Johannesburg is working together with the United States’ FBI and the Belgian police.
Charges against her relate to importing, possessing, and distributing films or publications containing depictions or descriptions which encourage or promote child pornography or the sexual exploitation of children.
