Witbank - An elderly couple who lived alone on a farm outside Witbank have been killed along with their dog, Mpumalanga police said on Saturday.
George Lewis, 77, appears to have been stabbed to death while Albertina Lewis, 75, and the dog were shot dead.
The couple's car and firearm were stolen, said Captain Malcum Mokomene of the Mpumalanga police.
Mokomene said it was not yet clear when exactly the couple were murdered. They were last seen alive on Friday evening and police discovered their bodies on Saturday.
No one has been arrested in connection with the attack but police believe that more than one person was involved in the crime. Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. - Sapa
