Cape Town - It was definitely a day for the players, fans and anyone wanting to experience the pinnacle of gaming culture at The 2018 Electronics and Gaming Expo (EGE).

Now in its fourth year, EGE is still producing a home where costumes, controls and colourful personalities all come to life in one setting.

Hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC),hundreds of people flocked to have an #EGEexperience.

There were games for casual ticket holders, who could also enter tournaments, that ranged from the very popular Fortnite, Injustice 2, Call of Duty WWII and of course Fifa 18.

PC players meanwhile, focused mainly on first-person shooters this year and played the classic Counter-Strike among the hardcore FPS team competitions.

One of the highlights where passionate fans can strut their creative spark and embody costumes based on a variety of games, anime and just about any popular outlet that shouts geek culture.

Board games, art and attire that represents a culture of beaming enthusiasm and fun, EGE certainly delivers an event for the memory bank.
