Randburg - A man died on Thursday after falling off his motorcycle in Blairgowrie, near Randburg, said Johannesburg emergency workers.

ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said two doctors stopped at the scene and gave him CPR before paramedics arrived.

“Despite the fast initiation of treatment, the young man's injuries had been too severe and nothing they did changed (his) condition.

“He had already died due to his extensive injuries,” said Jackson.

She said it appeared the 26-year-old man had hit a pavement and was hurled some a distance away from his bike.

“There was no vehicle on scene to indicate that it had been a collision with another car,” she said. - Sapa
