#BlackMonday: Thousands across SA protest against farm murders

Johannesburg - The 'Genoeg is Genoeg' movement has brought thousands together to speak out against the rising number of farmer murders in South Africa.

South Africans were urged to wear black to show solidarity for the protesters.

Protesters have blocked the R59 in Vereeniging. There have also been reports of protest action at N1 South at Rigel, N1 South at Proefplaas, Keywest in Krugersdorp, the R59 at Redan with protesters blocking the bridge, Ontdekkers at Florida Junction, Hendrik Potgieter at Cradlestone Mall and the R21 North before R24 West.

Residents in Braamfontein are also warned of smash and grab incidents on the M1 South at the Smit Street exit.

In Pretoria, hundreds have gathered at the Voortrekker Monument.

Police Minister Fikile Mbalula has warned against violent protest action and blocking of the roads with trucks and tractors.
