Bonang Matheba to appear in court for tax fraud

Johannesburg - Television personality Bonang Matheba was expected to appear in the Commercial Crimes Court in Johannesburg on Thursday for alleged tax fraud.

According to an August report, Matheba has been charged with tax fraud relating to personal and business tax.

Sunday World followed up the initial report on September 23 and said that Matheba would take the witness stand on Thursday.

The article titled, "Bonang in trouble with the taxman" followed the publication standing by its tax fraud reports, despite Matheba seeking R10 million in damages for the report.

South African celebrity Rapulana Seiphemo was also expected to appear in the same court to face charges of fraud.
