Johannesburg - Gauteng police on Saturday were searching for those involved in the murder of a couple in Bryanston.

“No arrests have been made yet and we are investigating,” said Captain Doniah Mothutsane.

The man, 29, and his wife, 28, were found in the early hours of Friday by a cousin who lived in an outside cottage on the property.

The bodies were found in a bedroom.

Mothutsane said the motive for the murders was unknown and could not say if they owned the property.

Beeld reported on Saturday that the man was the eldest son of Sandile Memela, the director of communications and marketing at the department of arts and culture.
