Johannesburg - The Emfuleni Local Municipality Mayor, Jacob Khawe, has been admitted to hospital due to unbearable chest and right leg pains, his office said on Friday.
Spokesperson Lebo Mofokeng said: “The Mayor's was admitted to hospital on Thursday. The medical experts are currently running tests and have advised the Mayor to rest. The people of Emfuleni will be kept posted on any developments in this regard".
Mofokeng said the Emfuleni Local Municipality wishes the Executive Mayor speedy recovery.
