Johannesburg - Rising water levels have been reported on two streets in Doornfontein after heavy rainfall in Johannesburg on Monday evening, the city's metro police said.

“We only know of an... incident on Siemert and Carr roads, in Doornfontein,” said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

“The water level is very high there. It is reaching car door height.”

Minnaar said metro police were in the area to divert traffic to Jeppe street. - Sapa
