Pretoria - Self-confessed killer Mikey Schultz on Thursday denied mouthing “f*** you” to Oscar Pistorius's sister Aimee.
“That did not happen. The Pistorius family are all liars,” he said as the athlete's sentencing procedures were adjourned for lunch in the High Court in Pretoria.
“They (are) the victims once again. The Pistorius's are clearly a bunch of liars along with Oscar.”
When court was adjourned, Aimee Pistorius was crying. Her brother Carl comforted her as she wiped away tears.
Carl Pistorius allegedly told reporters the former boxer, who came in a few minutes before the case adjourned for lunch, mouthed “f*** you” to his sister.
Speaking outside court, Schultz said he was in court to support the family of Reeva Steenkamp, the law graduate girlfriend Oscar Pistorius shot dead in his Pretoria home on February 14, 2013.
“I did not threaten anybody in court. I came in, I had a seat, I don't know where the allegations come from - they can go back and look at the video footage,” he said.
When asked why he thought Aimee Pistorius was crying, he said maybe it was because “she realised her brother was going to jail”.
Schultz said he was directed to sit close to the Pistorius family when he came in but did not say anything.
Schultz left the court with former soccer player Marc Batchelor and Jared Mortimer, both of whom have been in alleged altercations with Pistorius.
A security official said no complaints had been received from the Pistorius family.
On September 12, Pistorius was convicted of culpable homicide for the Valentine's Day 2013, shooting of Steenkamp.
The court found him not guilty of murdering her.
Pistorius shot Steenkamp through the locked door of the toilet, apparently thinking she was an intruder about to emerge and attack him. She was hit in the hip, arm, and head.
Pistorius was also found guilty of firing a pistol under a table at Tasha's restaurant in Johannesburg in January 2013.
He was found not guilty of shooting through the open sunroof of a car in Modderfontein on September 30, 2012, and of illegal possession of ammunition.
Businessman Brett Kebble was shot dead in September 2005, in an “assisted suicide” carried out by self-confessed hitmen Mikey Schultz, Faizel Smith, and Nigel McGurk.
