Johannesburg - A man was found dead in a car in Bramley, Johannesburg, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Gauteng paramedics said.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene, at the corner of Van der Linde and Bridge roads, and found the car between a tree and wall. The car was hanging over an embankment near a river, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was found lying in the car and was unresponsive. Fire and rescue had to use the Jaws of life to extricate him from the car.
“Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead. The exact cause of death as well as the cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on [the] scene for further investigations,” Bodasing said.
