Johannesburg - A man was killed when a truck and an SUV collided in Bapsfontein, east of Johannesburg, on Wednesday morning, paramedics said.

The SUV driver, believed to be in his 50s, was trapped in his vehicle and died on scene, ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries, and was taken to the Far East Rand Hospital.

The cause of the accident was unknown. - Sapa
