Johannesburg - A man was killed and two others injured on Thursday evening following a rear-end collision between two vehicles on the N1 highway in Johannesburg's Rivonia suburb, emergency service ER24 said.
Paramedics found the body of the man, believed to be in his 20s, lying behind one of cars.
"Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life," ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.
"Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead."
Two other patients, a man and woman, sustained moderate injuries, and were taken to hospital.
