Springs - One person was killed and another was injured when a truck and a car collided on Tonk Meter Drive in KwaThema near Springs in Gauteng on Sunday, paramedics said.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found "a lot of debris on the scene", ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said.
Upon assessment, they found the driver of the car trapped. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the man and he was declared dead by another medical service on the scene.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported by ER24 to hospital for further medical care. The cause of the collision was not yet known, she said.
