Pretoria - "Education like water is life and without it the living will perish."

This is the message that Tshwane City  Manager, Moeketsi Mosola, conveyed after throwing his graduation cap in the air after receiving a doctorate (PhD) in Human Movement Sciences in the area of Business of Sports Finance, by the University of Pretoria.

He said in country where poverty is rife, education is the only way out, and if not grasped the nation will perish from poverty.

Mosola already flaunts a  Bachelor of Arts and a BA(Honours) degrees in Neuroscience and Human Bio-Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Houston, Houston, Texan.

The graduation ceremony coincides with the finalisation of the appointments of the city's top executives and senior management in a bid to stabilise the city.

The Executive Mayor Solly Msimanga congratulated Mosola for achieving his third post graduate degree and setting an example from the top.

"This is an excellent achievement and deserves recognition and praise. It makes him a very valuable resource for the city given that we are in a 'business' of delivering excellent services to the communities of Tshwane. Being at the helm of the Capital City's administration, his researched academic knowledge will assist us as we strive to change the lives of our citizens and all those who work and/or stay in the  capital city", Msimanga said.
